Brass
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc (approx. 5-42%), or other elements in smaller quantities such as lead (usually around 2%). Good machinability of the semi-finished products is achieved by admixture of lead (bars form brittle short chips). Brass is also characterized by good ductility, conductivity (electrical and thermal) and resistance to corrosion. Average specific gravity 8.8 g/cm3.
Use: fittings, locksmithing, production of screws and other parts for engineering, herding, production of chandeliers. Stocks mainly consist of rods (round, hexagonal, square, flat), wires, sheets, belts and pipes. We deliver materials outside the stock range from the factory.
